October 2011
My working practice consists of three main activities: art, programming, and labour. Over the past few years, my artistic activities have been pushed aside by my activities in programming and labour.
For the purpose of defining what I am, in terms of what I am paid to do, I am a full time factory worker and nothing more. This work largely consists me performing the same short sequence of actions 450 times a day for the national minimum wage. I will eventually have to do something about this.
As a programmer I mainly code using the C language on the Linux platform and distribute it as FOSS. I have created my own projects and have forked other software projects modifying them for my own purposes. C is the language on which I have learnt my programming skills.
The other main language I use is PHP which this website is coded in. The website has grown hand in hand with my knowledge of PHP.
Ten years have passed since I graduated as Bachelor of Arts from university and in my frequently negative moments, my education, and self-education can seem like a futile waste of time. I'm not quite comfortable with the fact art is becoming something I used to do.
